The Heroic Path to Self-Forgiveness
Make Peace with Your Past
The Heroic Path to Self-Forgiveness: Change Your Story, Change Your Life
Do you continually criticize yourself for past errors in judgment? Do you berate yourself for failures to take right action? Are you relentless in punishing yourself for hurting others you care about? If so, this book can help you release the tight grip of your self-judgment shackles and create your personalized story of wholeness, joy and self-fulfillment!
We each have stories we tell ourselves. These stories can either be self-sabotaging or life-affirming. This is especially true with self-forgiveness.
The Heroic Path to Self-Forgiveness is a path that follows the “logic of your heart” rather than your head. Your heart is naturally forgiving. This book will help you get out of your own way, so you can personally experience the gift of forgiveness from inside out. Once you do, you’ll strengthen your personal heroic story and deepen your heart-felt connection to the world around you.
This book uses the story of unfolding heroism, to guide you through a contemplative three-fold process of transformation related to self-forgiveness:
Wind inward to shed what no longer serves you,
Arrive at the center of yourself to claim your inner wisdom, and
Wind outward to reintegrate your experiences from a place of new found wisdom, authenticity, and ultimately profound self-forgiveness.
Book Review
This is definitely a workbook and one which could ultimately bring you great joy and peace. The idea of the book is to help people make peace with their past by being able to forgive themselves. This is a huge journey and one which the author describes as “heroic.” Truly it is that! The book gives an excellent explanation of the path of self-forgiveness and gently but firmly walks through the necessary steps to being willing to forgive and then to actually do it. Various techniques such as voice dialog are revealed while exercises called “Wounding Arrow,” “Sort The Laundry,” and “Clear The Fog” are offered. Marion has walked this path herself and generously shares her stories and experiences that underlie so much of this process. With a Ph.D. in transpersonal psychology, Marion has worked with individuals and organizations for years, and is in the perfect place to share great wisdom in this book. If you think you’re ready for the step of self-forgiveness, get this book and work it through. It could change your life!

Testimonal
This is my very first Personal Growth/Self-Help book that I’ve ever read… I am not a “psychology/self-help” type reader but this book changed that. Written in clear, comprehensible English, I got thru the book in two weeks.
The audience for this book is a general readership not necessarily w/ a lot of knowledge in the field of Psychology or anything like that. I sense anyone can relate to & benefit from Marion’s expertise & compassionate message.
This book hits really close to home for me as it discusses forgiveness as a way of life—both to the perpetrators of past wrongs &, more importantly, to oneself.
